The cancer center called me on Friday. I am profoundly neutropenic, which means that my body is producing very few white blood cells. The nurse told me to stay away from crowds and to wear a mask if I go outside. So I am staying in this weekend, aside from a trip to Walmart I made yesterday with my mask on. I also can’t really exercise because I am still healing from the port surgery I had on Thursday. This is giving me the opportunity to be still. I am not always very good at that. This weekend I have been reading more and have been re-watching some DVDs from my late husband’s collection.
