Jim and I celebrate the six-year anniversary of our first date today. We have both been very busy and stressed with work, financial worries, and adaptation to a new place. Yesterday, we explored Old Town in Alexandria, our new home. We had a great time, walking along the river and down King Street. At one point, we came upon a street performer. We watched him for a while. Then he chose Jim and three other fellows to demonstrate a trick. I was surprised and happy that Jim wanted to participate. It took us out of our ourselves for a while.
