When the train arrives, people start cramming themselves into seats on the double-decker cars. It is about a half-hour train ride from Canton to South Station in Boston. Some groups of passengers sit in seats facing each other around little tables. These are usually regulars who claim the spots as theirs to anyone who might dare to sit down.

South Station has throngs of people on their way to work or traveling on AmTrak to another city. I feel like a part of humanity in this crush. Something that is missing in my current life post-COVID. But then again, the ease of working from home provides such flexibility and comfort.
